Janesville Tool Founder
Back in the late 1950’s, the Janesville Tool Founder, George Gilman, decided to open a machine shop in Janesville, Wisconsin. What George discovered along the way was that he was actually a good inventor and spend much of his time creating special tools and even special machines to make his machine shop jobs faster and easier. Jobs finished faster meant more profits too.
As customers and friends stopped by the machine shop they were impressed and would try to buy the presses. George soon was so busy building his presses and die sets for customers that he stopped his general machining part of the business.
The owners of Janesville Tool, the Roach family, still sticks to the same strict standards of quality built presses established by George Gilman. Check us out at JanesvilleTool.com.
We welcome you to share how you are using our presses and any fond memories of George Gilman.
